Kirikuchi-Naoru (切り口治る) is one of the most widely used Japanese bonsai cut pastes and liquid wound sealants.  It creates an airtight, waterproof barrier over fresh pruning cuts and graft unions to prevent fungal decay, stem dieback, and sap loss while promoting rapid callus growth.
