About Bonsai Botanicals

At Bonsai Botanicals, we believe that the secret to a centuries-old art form begins beneath the surface.  Founded in Vancouver, BC, our journey started out of a common frustration:  the lack of high-quality, professional-grade substrates available to local bonsai hobbyists.  The "one-size-fits-all" potting soils simply don't work for the delicate needs of a bonsai.

Premium Aggregates & Custom Blends

We decided to source high-quality aggregates from Japan- including Hard Akadama and Hyuga Pumice, to create the proper drainage and aeration that healthy roots demand.

Our premium soil blends are double sifted, hand-mixed in small batches, and thoughtfully formulated to meet the unique growing conditions of the Pacific Northwest.
